Cornell Tops Blue Devil Lacrosse 17-2

The Blue Devil Lacrosse team fell 17-2 Wednesday afternoon to Cornell College. Megan Copeland scored 51 seconds into the game But Cornell responded a minute later to tie the game, CC went on to lead 7-1 after the first quarter and 11-1 at the half. Ally Crymble scored her seventh goal of the year late in the fourth up a player. Stout Had 12 draw controls and 25 ground balls while forcing 25 turnovers but were only able to fire five shots on goal. 

TOP PERFORMERS

• Megan Copeland scored a goal, had eight ground balls and six draw controls.
• Ally Crymble scored, had three draw controls and two ground balls.
• Tessa Bailey made 10 saves. 
• Cece Zanoni led Cornell with four goals. 

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Cornell outshot Stout 35-8
• The Blue Devils had 25 ground balls while CC had 29
• Stout had 39 turnovers while forcing 25 from Cornell.

The Blue Devils will make the short trip to Eau Claire to face the Blugolds Saturday morning. The game is set to start at 10 a.m. April 1 at Simpson Field.
