DE PERE, WIS. - UW-Stout closed the spring tennis season with a 6-3 win over St. Norbert College at the Green Bay Tennis Center.
The Blue Devils dropped two of three doubles matches.
Lauren Couves and
Ellie Becker won 8-3 at No. 1.
Anna Kent and
Maddie Westerholm fell in a close 7-8 match at No.2 and Krystin Hanson and
Madeline Binczak fell 2-8 at No. 3
In the singles, Couves battled back in from a 3-6 loss in the first set to win 7-6 to force the tiebreak, which she won 10-4 to take the No.1 singles win. Becker swept the No. 2 match with a pair of 6-1 wins. Kent won at No. 3 in a three set match 5-7, 6-1 and 10-4. Hanson picked up the win at No. 4 7-5 and 7-6.
Ashlyn Dellemann dropped the No. 5 match 0-6, 1-6 and
Lexie Stein picked up the win at No. 6 6-3, 7-5.
