Stout Falls 69-55 at Stevens Point

The Basics

Record: Blue Devils (4-14, 1-8), Pointers (10-10, 3-6)
Location: Quandt Fieldhouse– Stevens Point, Wis. 

A late rally fell short as the Blue Devils dropped a road game 69-55 to Stevens Point. The game was tightly contested in the first half with both teams trading baskets. A three minutes stretch late in the half allowed the Pointers to build a 13 point lead. Stout was able to trim the deficit to nine heading into the locker room on back-to-back baskets by Nick Jungel and George Scharlau. Stevens Point used a strong start to the second half to build and 19-point advantage. Stout came storming back to trim the UWSP lead to six with four minutes to play but were unable to get any closer as Point held on for the win.

  • Aidan Shore scored 16 points and six rebounds and four blocks.
  • Jacob Walczak scored 11 points and pulled down five rebounds.
  • George Scharlau scored 10 points, six rebounds and three assists.
  • AJ Makinen scored 16 points, four steals and three rebounds to lead the Pointers.
