Levy Hamer was selected as a second team Preseason All-America by D3football.com after hauling in 12 touchdown passes and collecting 962 total receiving yards.
Hamer (Sr, Chicago, Ill/St. Laurence) was a second team 2021 All-Region 6 pick by D3football and a first team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection. Hamer was a second team all-conference pick in 2018 and 2019.
Hamer had four games where he tallied more than 100 yards receiving. Hamer caught four passes for 152 yards and two TDs against Presentation College in the season opener. Hamer had six receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown against UW-La Crosse, a career-best 11 receptions and 161 yards against UW-Oshkosh and seven receptions for 140 yards and two TDs against UW-Platteville.
Hamer caught at least four passes in every game and scored at least one touchdown in eight of the 10 games. Hamer caught at least four passes in every game in 2021 and has caught at least two passes in every game he has played as a Blue Devil.
Nationally, Hamer was in the top 50 in four individual categories. He finished 21st in receiving touchdowns (12), 30th in receiving yards per game (96.2 yds), 31st in total receiving yards (962 yards) and 50th in receptions per game (6.0).
Hamer, a Blue Devil team captain, is currently second on the UW-Stout all-time receiving list with 2813 yards, trailing only Scott Frederickson (3390 yards). Hamer has 26 career TDs and two 2-point conversions for 160 points, ninth on Stout's all-time scoring list. Hamer currently has 178 career receptions. Hamer has climbed into a few conference all-time lists. He is currently 11th on the WIAC all-time receiving list and tied for 12th on the all-time receiving touchdowns list.
The Blue Devils are scheduled to report for the 2021 season Tuesday, Aug. 16. Stout opens the season Saturday, Sept. 10 at Wartburg College and will open the home season, Saturday, Sept. 24, against Crown College.
