Stout opens conference play with a dominant win over Stevens Point

WIAC Conference play opened up Wednesday around the state of Wisconsin. In Menomonie, the Pointers came out of the gates strong, leading for a majority of the first half. The Pointers led the Blue Devils 23-13 before the Blue Devils called a timeout to reset. The next 10 minutes of the first half, the Blue Devils put on a scoring clinic, outscoring Stevens Point 26-7 to end the half at 34-30. The Blue Devils kept the dominant scoring and stifling defense up in the second half, outscoring the Points 59-39 in the second half to cruise to a 93-69 win.

Top Performers 

• Brody Fox continued his impressive scoring streak with 39 points on a lights-out 77% shooting. Fox also pulled down 5 rebounds and made 5 steals.
• Aidan Shore finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Carson Moe had 13 points before fouling out.
• George Sharlau finished with 6 rebounds and 8 assists, along with 2 points and 2 steals.
• Point's leading scorers were Zach Mootz (18), Jake Buchanan (14), and AJ Makinen (11)
