MENOMONIE, Wis. (October 29, 2022) – The UW-Stout Blue Devils (2-13-3, 1-5-1) fell 2-1 at Nelson Field to UW-Stevens Point (6-8-4, 2-2-2) Saturday afternoon to close the 2022 season.
UW-Stevens Points opened the scoring in the 10
th minute. Then scored in the 24
th minute to extend their lead before halftime to 2-0. The Pointers had nine of the their 17 shot attempts in the first half.
Stout got on the scoresheet with a goal from
Lauren Chukel in the 72
nd minute. The goal was her second of the season.
The Blue Devils pressured in the second half totaling 12 shot attempts but couldn't get another pas the Pointer goal keep.
Julia McNamar made 11 saves on 13 shots faced for the blue Devils.
