MENOMONIE (December 8, 2021) - After hauling in 12 touchdowns and leading the conference in receiving yards, UW-Stout wide receiver
Levy Hamer was selected to the 2021 D3football.com All-Region 6 second team.
Hamer (Jr, Chicago, Ill/St. Laurence) earned a first team all-conference selection and led all Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) receivers in total receiving yards (962) and total receiving touchdowns (12).
Hamer had four games - three against WIAC foes - where he tallied more than 100 yards receiving. Hamer caught four passes for 152 yards and two TDs against Presentation College in the season opener. Hamer had six receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown against UW-La Crosse, a career-best 11 receptions and 161 yards against UW-Oshkosh and seven receptions for 142 yards and two TDs.
Hamer caught at least four passes in every game and scored at least one touchdown in eight of the 10 games.
Nationally, Hamer was in the top 50 in four individual categories. He finished 21st in receiving touchdowns (12), 30th in receiving yards per game (96.2 yds), 31st in total receiving yards (962 yards) and 50th in receptions per game (6.0). This was Hamer's first all-region selection.
Hamer is currently second on the UW-Stout all-time receiving list with 2813 yards, trailing only Scott Frederickson (3390 yards). Hamer has 26 career TDs and two 2-point conversions for 160 points, ninth on the all-time scoring list. Hamer currently has 178 career receptions. Hamer has climbed into a few conference all-time lists. He is currently 11th on the WIAC all-time receiving list and tied for 12th on the all-time receiving touchdowns list.
UW-Stout finished the season at 5-5 overall.Â
