UW-Oshkosh 3, UW-Stout 1
MENOMONIE (October 15, 2021) - UW-Stout could not hold off UW-Oshkosh to force a fifth set and fell to the Titans, 3-1, Friday at Johnson Fieldhouse.
Trailing 2-1 in the team score, the Blue Devils (11-10, 1-4 WIAC) held a lead for quite a while after breaking a 15-15 in the fourth set on back-to-back kills by
Sidney Hoverman to grab a two-point lead, then jumped out to a three-point 18-15 lead on
Anna Hansen's kill. But the Titans (13-10, 2-3 WIAC) came back to tied the score at 18 before Stout grabbed another three-point lead at 21-19 on three straight Oshkosh errors.Â

Stout kept the visitors at bay before they game back to tie the game at 23, then take the lead at 24-23. The teams played to four tied scores until Oshkosh took a 28-27 lead, then won the set and the match with a block for a 29-27 win.
The Titans won the first set of the night, but Stout came back with a nearly identical 25-20 second set win. The Titans held the advantage after the third set, 25-19, win.
Stout's Hoverman led all scorers with 16 kills. Teammate
Jessica Barr finished the night with 11.
Lexie Nelson had eight kills and 37 assists. The Titans got 12 kills from Carissa Sundholm and 11 from Riley Kindt.Â
Stout will close out home play when they host UW-Eau Claire, Wednesday, Oct. 20 for Senior Night at 7 p.m. Stout will honor seniors
