The Blue Devils are scheduled to open the 2020 season by hosting St. Olaf College, Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. Despite the 90 mile distance between the two college towns, Stout and St. Olaf have only met twice, the last meeting coming nearly 70 years ago, with Stout taking a 19-13 win in 1951. The teams' first meeting was in 1937 where the Oles came out on top, 27-0.
The Blue Devils will travel to St. Norbert College, Saturday, Sept. 12, a team that is very familiar with the NCAA Division III playoffs, moving on to the Big Dance 13 times. Stout and St. Norbert have met three times, their last meeting coming in 1981 with a 27-6 Stout win. The teams first met in 1972 with the Green Knights capturing a 20-0 win. The teams' only other meeting came in 1980 when St. Norbert scored a 21-0 victory.
