MENOMONIE (February 11, 2020) - The UW-Stout Cheer and Stunt Team cheer team came home champions this weekend after competing at the WOW Factor Cheerleading Competition at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
The squad of 14 finished first in the All-Girl Division and then, after trailing on the first day of competition, came back to claim the grand championship of the overall Collegiate Division.
Some of the other teams competing included Buena Vista University, Wisconsin Competitive Cheerleading Club from UW-Madison, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Eau Claire.
The team returns to competition, Feb. 15-16 at the Champion Spirit Group (CSG) competition in Wisconsin Dells.
