STEVENS POINT (September 20, 2019) - It only took a touch more than an hour for the UW-Stout volleyball team to get back on the winning track Friday. The Blue Devils needed about 62 minutes to dispatch North Park University, 3-0, at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational.
Middle hitter
McKylie Hoff had the touch for the Blue Devils, leading the way in the 25-13, 25-23, 25-11 win with eight kills. Hoff hit at a .400 clip, committing only two attack errors among 15 total attacks.
The Blue Devils (10-4) held North Park (5-7) to a hitting percentage of .000, not letting NPU above a .136 hitting percentage in any of the sets. Stout finished with a solo block by
Lydia Kneubuehl and six block assists, with Kneubuehl finishing with two assisted blocks.Â
Kara Simonson had six kills and Kneubuehl and
Grace Maurer each had five. Kailyn Matthews had six kills to North Park.Â
The Blue Devils will face the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Millikin University Saturday to wrap up the tournament.
