UW-La Crosse 3, UW-Stout 0
LA CROSSE (November 2, 2019) - For the first time all season, UW-Stout was defeated by a 3-0 score as they dropped the final match of the season to UW-La Crosse Saturday at Mitchell Hall.
The Bue Devils (19-11, 1-6 WIAC) had posted 13 3-0 wins throughout the season, but were never on the receiving end until the final day of the season. The Eagles (15-13, 2-5 WIAC) handed Stout a 25-18, 25-22, 25-20 defeat.
Amber Ripley led Stout with 11 kills. Emma Lawrence had a match-high 14 kills for UW-La Crosse. The Eagles had one solo block and 15 assisted blocks.
The match marked the final collegiate matches for seniors
Steph Cannon,
Jessica DuVal,
Kara Simonson,
Emily Makina,
Summer Garr and
McKylie Hoff.
Cannon finished her career with a school record 2232 career digs. This season she came up just short of breaking her own single season digs record, finishing with 668 digs. Last season, she recorded 675 digs.
DuVal finished her career with 3379 career assists, a mark that puts her fourth on the all-time list.Â
