THIS WEEK'S MATCHES: The Blue Devils (12-10, 3-2 WIAC) play four matches for the second consecutive week when they head towards Milwaukee, playing two games at the Concordia-Wisconsin Invitational, Friday, Oct. 19, facing
Cardinal Stritch University (14-14, 8-4 CCAC) at 5 p.m. and host
Concordia-Wis (15-6, 9-2) at 7 p.m. Stout will head up I-43 to Lakeland University the following day and will meet
Concordia-Chicago (11-2, 6-4 NACC) at 2 p.m. and
Lakeland University (17-7, 6-2 NACC) at 4 p.m.

PARKING: Parking on the UW-Stout campus is restricted during the business week. For games in Johnson Fieldhouse during the week, please plan to park in Lot 29. Do not park in Lot 4, which is a reserved lot for students that live in the residence halls.
BLUE DEVILS LAST TIME OUT: The Blue Devils defeated UW-Superior, 3-2, Oct. 9 and UW-River Falls, 3-1, Oct. 10. Stout traveled to UW-Whitewater, Oct. 13 for a pair of matches, losing a conference contest 3-0 to the Warhawks, but turning around for a 3-0 non-conference win over Edgewood College.
THE BLUE DEVILS IN 2018: Middle hitter
Kennedy Strain is averaging 2.77 kills per set over 81 sets played and has recorded 224 total kills, bringing her career totals to 1048. She is currently fifth in the WIAC in kills. Strain reached her 1000th career kill against Saint Mary's Oct. 3. Strain is the team's leading blocker, recording 21 solo blocks and 42 assisted blocks, seventh in the WIAC. Freshman
Lexie Nelson continues to light up the net and is averaging 2.45 kills for the season, but since Sept. 26, Nelson is averaging 3.45 kills over those 31 sets.
Jessica DuVal is currently averaging 8.67 assists and is ranked fourth in the conference.
McKylie Hoff has five solo blocks and just trails Strain with 38 assisted blocks.
Steph Cannon is second in the WIAC in digs, averaging 5.84 digs per set, ranking 15th in Division III. After returning from an injury,
Amber Ripley 2.72 kills, putting down a total of 144 kills over 53 sets played. |

CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT BOUND: The Blue Devils have locked up a spot in the WIAC tournament, which begins Tuesday, Oct. 30, but their seed will not be determined until next week. They face a tough UW-Eau Claire team, Wednesday, Oct. 24 and will host UW-Oshkosh, Saturday, Oct. 27 to close out the regular season.
MILESTONE MARKERS:
Kennedy Strain currently has 1048 career kills. Strain currently has 225 career block assists, eighth on the all-time list.
Jessica DuVal has 2536 career assists.
Steph Cannon has 1391 career digs and could surpass the school career record in digs. Cannon is working her way up the UW-Stout all-time digs list. Her 1391 is less than a 100 career digs away Alicia Mizer's 1479. But Mizer did it in four seasons, playing from 2006-09, while Cannon has utilized three.
CARDINAL STRITCH: The Wolf Pack is led by Mary Bowe with 2.60 kills per set and Maddie Wolff with 2.52 kills. Amani Monroe has seven solo blocks and 30 assisted blocks, averaging 0.70 blocks per set. In addition to playing Stout at the Concordia meet, the Stritch will also face UW-River Falls and UW-Oshkosh |

CONCORDIA-WISCONSIN: The host Falcons are 4-2 in October and will play UW-Oshkosh before meeting the Blue Devils. Megan Meyer is putting down 3.37 kills per set and is being complemented by Amanda Schultz's 2.91 kills. Haley Sedo and MacKenzie Wockenfus combine the setter duties, with Sedo averaging 5.96 assists and Wockenfus 4.82. |

CONCORDIA-CHICAGO: The Cougars have won four straight games, all four conference games. Concordia plays Marian University and Lakeland University before meeting the Blue Devils. Jaylen Johnson is averaging 3.07 kills and Julie Spitelli 2.84. Shannon Stamp has 17 solo blocks and 55 block assists, averaging 0.94 blocks per set. |

LAKELAND UNIVERSITY: The Muskies have yet to lose in the month of October, establishing a six match winning streak. Lakeland is getting 3.19 kills from Shannon Bishop and 2.79 from Shelby Welsch. Megan Goeser has 14 solo blocks and 35 block assists. The Muskies host Dominican and Concordia-Chicago before meeting the Blue Devils. |

UW-Whitewater is projected to finish first, UW-Eau Claire second, UW-Oshkosh third, UW-La Crosse fourth, UW-Stevens Point fifth, UW-Stout sixth, UW-Platteville seventh and UW-River Falls eighth. |

UW-STOUT COACH MANDY TRAUTMANN: Coach
Mandy Trautmann (12-10) is in her first season as the head coach of the Blue Devils. Trautmann took over the Blue Devils after a season as an assistant coach. Prior to coming to Stout, Trautmann was the team captain for UW-Oshkosh in 2015, a season the Titans captured the WIAC regular season championship. Trautmann was a two-time first team all-WIAC selection in 2014 and 2015, and an honorable mention choice in 2013. She was named to the all-WIAC defensive team in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
QUICK HITS: The Blue Devils have two seniors, six juniors, four sophomores and seven freshmen on the 2018 roster...the team is made up of 13 players from Minnesota, four from Wisconsin and one each from Iowa and Illiniois...assistant coach
