NAPERVILLE, Ill. (September 23, 2017) - On the second day of the WIAC/CCIW Crossover Tournament, UW-Stout dropped the first two sets, but turned around quickly and won the next two. The Blue Devils ended up dropping the fifth and final set while taking the loss against North Park University.
The Blue Devils (5-10) started the match 17-25, 19-25, but came away with exciting wins in the next two sets, 29-27, 26-24. Stout would eventually fall in the last set 13-15 against the Vikings of North Park University.
Three different Blue Devils finished with double digit kills.
Kennedy Strain led the charge with 15 kills, while
Kylie Hoff had 12 and Amber Ridley had 11.
In the last match, UW-Stout played against Elmhurst College. They would go on to drop the first three sets, 9-25, 15-25, 15-25.
Leading the Blue Devils in kills was
Kennedy Strain with 13.
Up next for UW-Stout is a WIAC showdown at UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
