NAPERVILLE (September 22, 2017) - In a tournament where UW-Stout is set to play three College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) teams in Naperville, IL, the Blue Devils (5-8) fell to the Vikings of Augustana College (IL) in five sets.
Stout opened the tournament winning the first set against the Vikings, 25-21. The Blue Devils ended up dropping the second set 19-25, but eventually prevailed and dominated with a 25-14 set win. The Blue Devils again dropped a set, 21-25 after winning a set. Eventually, UW-Stout would fall 11-15 to end the match.
The kills continued to ensue for
Kennedy Strain, who ended with 13 kills against Augustana College. That brings her team leading kills to 134.
Kylie Hoff also ended the match with 11 kills.
The Blue Devils face off against North Park University tomorrow at 12 p.m. and finish off the tournament right after against Elmhurst College at 2 p.m. in Naperville, IL
