MENOMONIE (December 2, 2017) - UW-Stout's Isaac Elliott scored a game-high 21 points and Keegan Dickson scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half as the Blue Devil broke away from a 31-31 halftime score to defeat the University of Northwestern, 70-56, Saturday on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse.

The Blue Devils (4-3) jumped out to an eight point,10-2 lead over the first five minutes of the game as Elliott hit Stout's first seven points.

Northwestern (1-4) cut the lead to three points several times over the next 12 minutes, then moved into a 29-29 tie with just under two minutes remaining the half. The Eagles' Jacob Gervais gave Northwestern a 31-29 lead and Brandyn Christman tied the contest from the free throw line with about 30 second left.

The Eagles took the lead early in the second half until Zach Dahl tied the score at 33-33. Elliott scored twice and Dickson and Joe Duty each scored to push the lead to 41-33 at the 13 minute mark.  The Eagles would get only as close as three points a couple of minutes later, but that would be it as Stout pushed the lead into double digits where it stayed for most of the game.
