RIVER FALLS (October 4, 2017) - UW-Stout extended their unbeaten streak to four as the Blue Devil defense made an early second half goal stand up on their way to a 1-0 conference win over UW-River Falls, Wednesday.
Sydney Kasper scored in the 54th minute, with an assist by
Jessica Ingle, to get onto the scoreboard after a scoreless first half. For Kasper, it was her fifth goal of the season and her third goal in three games. For Ingle, it was her first assist of the season.
The Blue Devils (4-4-2, 1-0-1 WIAC) were outshot by the Falcons, 16-12, but Stout outshot the Falcons (3-7-1, 0-0-2 WIAC) on net, 6-5. Both goalies, the Blue Devils'
Lynn Johnson and the Falcons' Haley Crosby, each recorded five saves.
Stout will host UW-Stevens Point, Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.
