WHITEWATER (October 31, 2017) - UW-Whitewater def. UW-Stout, 25-17, 25-13, 25-16, in the first round of the WIAC Volleyball Championship Tuesday in Whitewater, ending the Blue Devils' season.

Stout's
Kennedy Strain finished with seven kills and
Ashley Pratt had six kills, wrapping up her career with 1135 kills, finishing seventh on Stout's all-time kills list. Pratt finished the season with 209 kills.
Emili Cain added five kills and
Kara Simonson four.
For the Warhawks, Rachel Butterfield had 11 kills and Amanda Spera finished with 10.
Stout's
Steph Cannon tallied 14 digs, running her season totals to 534, fifth on the Stout single season list.

The Blue Devils finished the season at 9-20 overall and were the sixth seed in the tournament. Whitewater (21-7), the third seed in the tournament, advances to play at UW-Eau Claire, Thursday, Nov. 2.
