MENOMONIE (September 10, 2016) - UW-Stout's
Sydney Kasper scored twice and the Blue Devils went on to their first win of the season, a 4-0 blanking of Benedictine University Saturday at Nelson Field.

Kasper opened the scoring when she scored unassisted in the first three minutes of the game. Kasper also scored the games last goal, that coming in the 78th minute, on an assist from
Sarah Todey.

Stout took a 1-0 lead into halftime, then had a three-goal burst over 15 minutes in the second half.
Ryanne Millis scored her first collegiate goal in the 63rd minute, as did
Hannah Kirchner in the 72nd minute.
Haley Wentz assisted on Kirchner's goal. Kasper wrapped up the scoring in the 77th minute.

Lynn Johnson took the win for the Blue Devils, recording eight saves over 80 minutes. Abby Kirch came on for the final 10 minutes and recorded three saves. The Eagles' Cassidy Henson recorded three saves. Stout outshot Benedictine 18-17 overall, but were much more productive in their shot selection, punching in four goals in seven shots on net.
