UW-Platteville 87, UW-Stout 80 (Box Score)
PLATTEVILLE (February 20, 2016) - UW-Stout made a late run at UW-Platteville in the season finale at Bo Ryan Court, but the Pioneers' lead proved to be too large and the home team took an 87-80 win in both team's season finale.
The Pioneers held a 19 point, 83-64, lead with 3-minute, 47-seconds left in the contest. The Blue Devils closed out the game with a 17-4 run.
Brett Ahsenmacher scored a pair of 3-pointers in the final run.
Stout (4-20, 0-14 WIAC) had four players score in double digits, led by
Jalen Patterson's 17 points.
John Keefe and
John Lahti each added 11 points and Ahsenmacher finished with 10 points.
The Pioneers (11-14, 5-9 WIAC) led 53-36 at halftime and had two players exceed 20 points. Robert Duax came off the bench to lead all scorers with 26 points and Boston Johnson added 21 points.
Stout shot 29 of 62 (46.8 percent) from the floor, 8 of 23 (34.8 percent) from 3-point range and 14 of 21 (66.7 percent) from the line. The Pioneers shot 27 of 57 (47.4 percent) from the floor, 11 of 27 (40.7 percent) from beyond the arc and 22 of 28 (78.6 percent) from the line.
