Blue Devils downed by Winona State in exhibition contest

Box Score Winona State 76, UW-Stout 47

WINONA, Minn. (November 12, 2016) - UW-Stout's Keegan Dickson scored 16 points to lead the Blue Devils, but NCAA Division II Winona State had four players in double digits as the Warriors captured a 76-47 exhibition win over the Blue Devils Saturday at McCown Gym.
 
Dickson was 5-of-13 overall, but connected on 3-of-7 3-point shots. Dickson was 3-of-4 from the line and also had three steals and one blocked shot.
 
The Warriors Kyle Bauman led all scorers with 21 points. Corey Jeffs recorded a double-double, with 13 rebounds and 10 points. Riley Bambenek scored 14 points and Charlie Koontz came off the bench to score 11 points.
 
The Division II Warriors outrebounded Stout 42-33.
 
John Keefe scored seven points and led Stout off the glass with six boards. Isaac Elliott finished with eight points for Stout.

The Blue Devils will get the 2016-17 season underway when they travel to NCAA Division II Minnesota-Crookston, Tuesday, Nov. 15.
