UW-Stout 2, UW-Stevens Point 0
STEVENS POINT (October 8, 2016) -
Kelly Conn scored a goal and added an assist as UW-Stout snapped a four-game skid and picked up their first conference win of the season with a 2-0 shutout at UW-Stevens Point Saturday.
Conn scored, with an assist on a cross by Bethany Hennan, 20 minutes into the first half, then assisted on freshman
Ryanne Millis' goal 10 minutes into the second half.
The shutout is Stout's fourth of the season.
Lynn Johnson recorded her second solo shutout, and has shared in the other two. Johnson recorded four saves against the Pointers. Sarah Peplinski had nine saves for Stevens Point.
For the second consecutive game, the Blue Devils outshot their opponent, this time by a 20-10 overall margin and an 11-4 margin on net.
The Blue Devils host the University of St. Thomas, Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
