MENOMONIE (January 6, 2016) - The Blue Devils played well against the no. 15 ranked Warhawks in the first half, but failed to keep the pressure on in the second, falling 75-59. John Keefe (So, Medford) was the only Blue Devil in double figures, scoring 11 points.

Much like their last match up with Whitewater (10-2, 1-0 WIAC), the Blue Devils brought the first half fire, keeping the game close in the first half, behind tenacity and hustle on both ends of the floor. The first half ended with Stout (4-7, 0-1 WIAC) trailing by four points at half, 31-27.

The second half was a different story. The Blue Devils struggled shooting the ball, going only 37.5 percent from the field, while the Warhawks stepped on the gas, shooting 56 percent from the field, including 5 of 10 from the three point line.

Along with Keefe's 11 points, he grabbed four rebounds, three steals and dropped two assists. Brett Ahsenmacher (Jr, Annandale, Minn.) scored eight points for Stout.

Haki Stampley was Whitewater's leading scorer, he dropped 26 points on 9 of 18 shooting, including four three pointers.

Stout's next two games will be on the road. First, they face UW-River Falls, Saturday Jan.9 at 5 p.m., and then they head over to UW-Eau Claire for a Wednesday night tip at 7 p.m.
