Superior scores two goals in the third period to down Stout, 2-1

MENOMONIE (February 20, 2015) - UW-Superior scored two goals in the final period to notch their first conference win of the season, 2-1, over UW-Stout at the Fanetti Community Center Friday.

The Yellowjackets' (8-16-1, 1-10-0 WIAC) Jordan Neduzak scored at 7:03 of the third to tie the score, and Alex Thompson scored the game winner with less than seven minutes left at 13:49.
 
Stout's (8-16-1, 3-9-0 WIAC) only goal of the game came at 12:18 of the first period when Jordan Tredinnick (Sr, Onalaska) scored on a 4-of-4 situation.
 
Stout's Spencer Viele made 31 saves, the Yellowjackets' Bryce Fink had 24 saves.
 
The teams will meet again Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in a WIAC tournament game in Menomonie.
