UW-Stevens Point 85, UW-Stout 44STEVENS POINT (February 14, 2015) - Six players from UW-Stevens Point scored in double figures as the 12th ranked Pointers defeated UW-Stout 85-44 Saturday at Bennett Court.
The Pointers (20-4, 14-1 WIAC) went on a 23-2 run in the first period to take control of the game. The Pointers led at halftime, 47-23.
Stevens Point's Stephen Pelkofer led all scorers with 15 points. Jordan Lutz added 14. Austin Ryf and Joe Ritchay each scored 11 and Alex Richard and Sean McGann scored 10 points.
Jarvis Ragland (Sr, Milwaukee) led the Blue Devils with 13 points.
The Pointers ourtrebounded Stout, 33-18. Stevens Point shot 64.2 percent for the game (34-53). Stout (3-20, 0-14 WIAC) was limited to 33.3 percent (15-45).
The Blue Devils will travel to UW-Superior, Wednesday, Feb. 18, then return home to close out the season, Saturday, Feb. 21 when they host UW-Whitewater at 5 p.m.
