Sarah Schoch (Jr, Chippewa Falls) scored a career-high 25 points, 19 in the first half and led the Blue Devils to an 86-63 win over Hamline University, Tuesday, marking Stout's third consecutive win.
Schoch lit up the scoreboard in the first quarter, scoring 11 points, hitting 3-of-4 3-pointers as Stout (3-2) jumped out to 25-10 lead after the first stanza. Schoch continued the onslaught in the second quarter, adding eight more points, including two 3-pointers, and Stout led 46-26 at haltime.
Schoch would match her uniform number, 23, scoring 23 points in the first 23 minutes of the game. Schoch would finish the game hitting 8-of-9 from the floor, 5-of-6 from 3-point range and was perfect at the line, hitting all four.
Schoch was not the only Blue Devil hitting from beyond the arc. Stout banked in 10 total long range bombs, with
Nicole Schaub dropping in three 3-pointers to finish the night with 11 points.
Dana Karlstad (Sr, Strum) and
Haley Seifert (So, Ladysmith) each hit a 3-pointer.
Jenna Goldsmith (Jr, St. Anthony, Minn)Â finished the night with 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Kyleigh Hebert (Sr, Spencer) recorded seven rebounds and matched a career-best with eight assists. Stout outrebounded the Pipers, 45-35.
The Pipers (0-4) were led by Chesley Bonsante, who finished with a game-high 29 points. Chloe Graves tallied 13 points.
Stout shot 46.8 percent from the field (29-of-62), 41.7 percent from 3-point range (10-of-24) and 78.3 percent from the free throw line (18-of-23). The Pipers shot 34.9 percent (22-of-63) from the floor, 35.3 percent (6-of-17) from 3-point range and 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from the line.
The Blue Devils will host St. Catherine University, Sunday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m.
