UW-Stevens Point 3, UW-Stout 0STEVENS POINT (October 30, 2015) - UW-Stevens Point made short work of UW-Stout, downing the Blue Devils in three sets, 25-19, 25-18, 25-10, Friday.
The loss moved Stout to an even 16-16 overall record and 2-4 in league action with one WIAC contest remaining. Stotu will be at UW-Oshkosh, Saturday, Oct. 31.
Neither team had any players in double-digit kills, but the Pointers (23-7, 3-3 WIAC) had three players - Marie KRengel, Ellen Drewry and Gabby Thomas - put down nine kills. The Pointers recorded two solo blocks and 16 block assists.
Ashley Pratt (So, Lakeville, Minn) led Stout with eight kills. Stout was kept out of any type of block party, recording one solo block and only two block assists.
Payton Schultz (Fr, Faribault, Minn) recorded 39 digs and broke the school single season record for digs. Schultz currently has 625 career digs, breaking the mark of 607 set by Casey Huntoon in 2007.
