Volleyball team drops both matches on final day at Gustavus tourney

ST. PETER, Minn (September 13, 2014) - Morgan Denny (Sr, Luck) and Laura Reiter (JR, Lino Lakes, Minn) provided some firepower by UW-Stout could not get past Iowa schools Buena Vista University and Coe College on the final day of the Gustavus Adolphus Invitational. The Blue Devils fell 3-1 to Buena Vista and 3-0 to 20th ranked Coe.

Denny recorded 20 kills against Buena Vista and Reiter added 12 in the match. Denny also had four solo blocks in the first contest of the day.  Against Coe, Reiter recorded 12 kills and Denny had two solo blocks and three block assists.

Stout (6-5) lost to Buena Vista, 25-22, 20-225, 26-24, 25-21, and lost to Coe, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.

Stout will be at the St. Catherine's Invitaional, Sept. 19-20.
