Blue Devil soccer team tripped up by Concordia-Wisconsin

MEQUON (September 13, 2014) - Concordia-Wisconsin scored two goals in the first half and added a third in the second to take a 3-1 win over UW-Stout Saturday at Fitting Field.

The Falcons (3-2-0) took the lead on Carley Pfannerstill's goal at 22:06, then doubled the tally on Brittany Klumpp's first goal of the afternoon in the 37th minute.

Stout's Sarah Todey (So, Maple Grove, MInn) answered back quickly when she scored her first collegiate goal to cut the lead to 2-1 in the 38th minute.

The Falcons picked up the clincher in the78th minute when Klumpp scored her second goal of the game.

Concordia outshot Stout, 19-9. Paige Meyer (Jr, Beldenville) had six saves before leaving in the 80th minute. Kristi Schurhammer (So, Plainview, Minn) saw her first action of the season and turned away four goals in the final 10 minutes.

Stout (1-2-0) will be at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Sunday, Sept. 14.
