BLUE DEVILS LAST TIME OUT: Paige Meyer (Jr, Hammond) recorded nine saves and posted her second shutout of the season as UW-Stout tied Bethel University, 0-0, Tuesday at Ona Orth Stadium. The Royals (0-1-3) held a 15-6 overall bulge in shots and Stout (1-1-1) put all six of their shots on net, but could not break the plane of the goal line.through the extra minutes. Stout put two shots on frame in the first overtime and one in the second. The Stout defense allowed only one shot in the overtime frames, and that shot went wide with about a minute left in the contest. Meyer was particularly tough in the second period of regulation, turning away seven shots on goal. With leading scorer

Compete Story and StatsA LOOK AT UW-STOUT:Â It is still early in the season and the sisters Kizlik have the Blue Devils' only points after three games. Lauren scored twice against St. Mary's and Jenna had an assist in that game.
Paige Meyer has a goals against average of 0.62, with two shutouts. The Blue Devils return four of their six top scorers from last year. For the first time in nearly a decade, Stout landed four players on the All-WIAC team – and three of those players return, including midfielder

Lauren Kizlik (So, Hammond). The Kizlik sisters were among the team's leaders in scoring. Lauren was second on the team with five goals and one assist for 11 points, ranking in the top 10 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in scoring. Jenna, who missed nine games, finished with a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Meyer alternated in goal early during the season, but when the calendar turned to October she began to grab the majority of starts, including six during conference play. Meyer finished the year at 5-5-1, posting a goals against average of 1.19 and a saves percentage of .851. In WIAC games only, Meyer was 3-2-0, but dropped her GAA to 0.76. Stout is picked to finish fourth in the WIAC, according to a WIAC preseason poll. |

2013 StatsA LOOK AT THE CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY: Junior Brittany Klumpp recorded her second career hat trick and Carley Pfannerstill added two goals as Concordia thumped North Park, 5-0, in Chicago, Wednesday. While the CUW offense was locked in Wednedsay, freshmen goalkeeper Tabitha Ortiz had a strong game as well in earning her first career victory. Ortiz stopped all five shots she faced while gaining the shutout. The win gave the Falcons their second win of the season and their second consecutive shutout. The Falcons were picked to finish third in the NACC. Klumpp leads the team with five goals and one assist. Pfannerstill has four goals and two assists. Ariana Worthing and Tabitha Ortiz have split time evenly in the goal, with Worthing getting three stats. Worthing has a GAA of 0.50 and Ortiz 1.50. Team captain Anna Hirssig is the sister of former Blue Devil Julia Hirssig, a basketball All-American.  |

Story and StatsA LOOK AT THE MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING: The Raiders are coming off a 2-0 win over defending WIAC Champion UW-Whitewater Wednesday night in Milwaukee. Natalie Gaynor got the opening goal in the 29th minute and Carly Mitus got the clincher in the 84th minute, her first goal of the season. The Raiders put 10 shots on goal and MSOE goalkeeper Sydney Stephens needed to make only four saves, including a point-blank shot in the final two minutes for her first shutout of the season, and the Raiders' second consecutive shutout. The Raiders finished last season at 10-11-0 overall. Caitlin LIddiard has four goals and three assists on the season. Sarah Travia has three goals and two assists. Stephens has gone the distance in three matches, posting a 2.00 GAA. |
2014 Stats THE LAST TIME STOUT AND MSOE MET: The Blue Devils have won both meetings with the Raiders, taking a 2-0 win in 2005 in Milwaukee and a 1-0 win when the teams last met in 2006. Al Smith scored the winning goal in the 79th minute. In 2006, Stout outshot the Raiders, 33-7 and put 23 shots on frame. |

Ryan Raufus (26-25-6) is in his fourth year as the head coach of the Blue Devils. Raufus played his college ball at Springfield College in Massachusetts and came to Stout after coaching at La Crosse Logan High School and La Crescent, Minn., High School.
QUICK HITS:Â The Blue Devils overcame a slow start last season. Hampered by early season injuries, Stout won two of their first 10 games, but won six of their final nine games.

In scoring her first five goals over the first three games of the season, Hyduke matched Alyssa Halverson as the only Blue Devil to accomplish that feat. Halverson scored her first five goals over three games in 1999 and went on to score 14 goals on the season...
