MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (September 10, 2014) - UW-Stout went toe-to-toe with 24th ranked Augsburg College Wednesday, getting edged by the Auggies 3-2.
A year after getting swept by the Auggies, 3-0, in Menomonie, the Blue Devils (5-2) invaded Augsburg (7-2) home court, dropping a 25-12, 15-25, 25-18, 18-25, 15-9 decision as Si Melby Hall.
The first five set match of the season for the Blue Devils,
Morgan Denny (Sr, Luck) led all players with a season-high 18 kills.
Laura Reiter (Jr, Lino Lake, Minn) finished with 14 kills.
Nicole Bradford (Sr, Ridgeland) finished with 22 digs.
Karley Wiensch (Sr, Chippewa Falls) had 45 assists.
The Auggies' Colleen Ourada had 17 kills and Ashley Peper finished with 14 kills. Courtney Lemke had 46 assists.
Stout will be at the Gustavus Adolphus Tournament, Sept. 12-13.
