John Keefe (Medford) scored in double digits, but Viterbo University had three players dial up double numbers and the V-Hawks went on to an 81-65 win over UW-Stout Wednesday at RW Beggs Gym.
Ragland scored 20 points, one point less than his last time out, while Keefe scored 11 points. Ragland hit 7-of-14 from the field and drained 6-of-8 free throws. Keefe matched a collegiate best by hitting 4-of-6 from the floor, including two 3-pointers.
The V-Hawks (3-3) got 30 points and 15 rebounds from David Shepherd and 25 points from Alex Dicialua, who added seven rebounds. Jake Bohmke scored 10 points.
The Blue Devils (0-3) shot 41.7 percent from the field, hitting 25-of-60, and 7-of-28 3-pointers. The V-Hawks shot 56.4 percent from the floor (31-55) and 8-of-16 from 3-point range. Viterbo outrebounded Stout, 42-23.
Stout is off until they host the UW-Stout Thanksgiving Turkey Shootout, Nov. 29-30. Stout will open the tournament by entertaining Wartburg College. Ashford College and Cardinal Stritch Univerity will do battle in the other game.
