THIS WEEK'S GAMES: The Blue Devils (3-7-3, 2-2-1 WIAC) have the week off to prepare for a trip to first place UW-Whitewater (13-2, 6-0 WIAC), Saturday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. Whitewater defeated UW-Oshkosh, 1-0, Wednesday, Oct. 15. The Warhawks are ranked 16th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Top 25 and 19th in the D3soccer.com Top 25. The women remain in second in the NSCAA/Continental Tire North Region poll.

BLUE DEVILS LAST TIME OUT: Five different players scored for UW-Stout, led by Lauren Kizlik's pair of first half goals, as the Blue Devils ran away with a 6-0 win over UW-Superior Friday night at Nelson Field. A LOOK AT UW-STOUT: Lauren Kizlik and the entire Blue Devil team broke out of a scoring slump last weekend in a 6-0 win over UW-Superior, Oct. 10. Kizlik now has a team-high four goals on the season. Her sister, Jenna Kizlik, has two goal and an assist. Sarah Todey also has two goals and an assist. Kelly Conn, Kelli Elmer, Kelly Kornmann and Lindsey Concon each have a goal. Conn has a pair of assists and Elmer and Kornmann each has an assist, as do Christina Block and Nikki Sedivy. Emma DeRubuis has a team-high three assists. Paige Meyer has played more than 1100 minutes in goal and has a GAA of 1.29. Kristi Schurhammer snagged her first collegiate win and shutout against UW-Superior and has yet to allow a goal in 114 minutes of play. A LOOK AT UW-WHITEWATER: The Warhawks are currently ranked 16th in the latest 2014 NSCAA/Continental Tire National Rankings. Whitewater is on top of the WIAC in goals scored as a team (27) and goals allowed (8). The Warhawks have produced seven shutouts, with goalkeeper Jordyn Myers notching them all. Myers has a league-best 0.58 GAA. THE LAST TIME STOUT AND WHITEWATER MET: UW-Whitewater scored two goals within four minutes of each other to break open a scoreless tie and go on to defeat UW-Stout, 2-0, Oct. 12, 2013, at Nelson Field. After an even first half, it was the Warhawks' Carina Krausert that made the difference. Krausert took a rebounded shot off the cross bar and headed the ball into the net in the 58th minute for what would prove to be the game-winning goal. AWARDS:Â Paige Meyer, Jenna Kizlik, Lauren Kizlik and now assistant coach Emily Ferger were selected to the All-WIAC team, onlly the second time Stout has placed four players on the squad.
TEAM CAPTAINS: Blue Devil team captains for the 2014 season are Sarah Ulrich, Vanessa Wrobel and Jenna Kizlik.
UW-STOUT COACH RYAN RAUFUS: Coach Ryan Raufus (28-31-8) is in his fourth year as the head coach of the Blue Devils. Raufus played his college ball at Springfield College in Massachusetts and came to Stout after coaching at La Crosse Logan High School and La Crescent, Minn., High School.
QUICK HITS:Â The Blue Devils overcame a slow start last season. Hampered by early season injuries, Stout won two of their first 10 games, but won six of their final nine games.

Alix Hyduke (Duluth, Minn.) currently leads the 2013 team with six goals scored. In scoring her first five goals over the first three games of the season, Hyduke matched Alyssa Halverson as the only Blue Devil to accomplish that feat. Halverson scored her first five goals over three games in 1999 and went on to score 14 goals on the season...

DOWN THE ROAD: The Blue Devils will close out the home season when they host Gustavus Adolphus, Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. Stout will travel to UW-Eau Claire, Wednesday, Oct. 29 and to UW-Stevens Point, Saturday, Nov. 1. The game with UW-Eau Claire will introduce the "Battle for Blue's Ax", a traveling trophy between the two programs.
