ST. PAUL, Minn. (September 7, 2013) - A week after winning a pair of five set matches in a single day, the UW-Stout volleyball team made short work of the second day opponents at the Macalester Invitational, downing both Northland College and host Macalester College in straight sets.
The Blue Devils (5-1) easily cruised past Northland College, 25-14, 25-9, 25-6.#
Laura Reiter# (So, Lino Lakes, Minn) finished with 10 kills to lead all players.
Macalester put up more of a fight and the Blue Devils took each set in identical 25-22 wins.
Morgan Denny (Jr, Luck) had 12 kills and
Emily Crew (Jr, Maplewood, Minn) had three of Stout's five solo blocks.

Karley Wiensch (Jr, Chippewa Falls) was selected to the all-tournament team. Wiensch finished the four match tournament with 136 assists, averaging 9.07 assists per set. Wiensch had three service aces and 34 digs.
The Blue Devils will host Augsburg College, Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in their home opener.
