MENOMONIE (September 21, 2013) - UW-Oshkosh scored early in the second half and held on to take a 1-0 win over UW-Stout Saturday at Nelson Field in the conference opener for both teams.
The Titans' (3-4-1, 1-0-0 WIAC) Chelsea Kierszh scored, with an assist by Anna Beckerleg, int he 48th minute to put the only marker on fhe scoreboard.
Stout's
Paige Meyer (So, Beldenville) made nine saves, seven in the first half, and took the loss. The Titans' Katie Berkopec recorded three saves, all in the first half.
Kelsie Allen (Sr, Appleton) took all three of Stout's shots on goal.
The Blue Devils (2-7-0, 0-1-0 WIAC) will be at Hamline University, Tuesday, Sept. 24, then will be at UW-La Crosse, Saturday, Sept. 28.
