ST. PAUL, Minn. (September 13, 2013) - For the second time this season, UW-Stout needed five sets to take down St. Catherine, this time at the Wildcats' own invitational Friday night.

The Blue Devils, behind 19 kills by Laura Reiter (So, Lino Lakes, Minn) and 11 kills each by Miranda Haug (Fr, Forest Lake, Minn) and Rachel Tschumperlin (So, Fairmont, Minn), downed St. Catherine, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12. Stout (7-2) defeated St. Catherine, 3-2, in the season opener. Haug's previous best for kills was six.

Reiter matched her career-high with the 19 kills, while Molly Brion (So, Cameron) had 27 digs, clearly a career-best for the sophomore whose previous best was 18 earlier this season. Karley Wiensch (Jr, Chippewa Falls) had 50 assists.

In the opener of the tournament, the Blue Devils had no problem with Crown College, taking the contest, 25-14, 25-11, 25-12. Reiter had nine kills against the Storm, while Morgan Denny (Jr, Luck) had seven and Haug had six.
