St. Norbert College 5, UW-Stout 2
GREEN BAY, (November 23, 2013) - Similar to the night before, UW-Stout fell behind 3-0. But this night, there would be no comeback as the Blue Devils lost to St. Norbert, 5-2, Saturday at Cornerstone Community Center.
The second ranked Green Knights (8-0-0) jumped out front with two first period goals by Mason Baptist and Joe Perry. St. Nobert took a 3-0 lead on a goal by Chris Rial. Rial would add another goal later.
Stout (2-6-0) got their first goal of the night, an even strength goal by
Danny Ray (So, Grand Forks, N. D.) at 8:50 in the second period. Friday night, the Blue Devils stormed back to tie the score at 3 apiece, but that would not happen tonight. The Knights added their fourth goal fo the night at the 16"47 mark of the second, again by Rial.
Stout pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Kevin O'Donnell (Sr, Rio). The Knights put the game away with an empty net goal with 39 seconds remaining in the contest.
Corey Koop (Fr, Squamish, B.C.) had 37 saves for Stout. The Knights' Tony Kujava had 15 saves.
Stout will next host UW-River Falls, Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
