DUBUQUE, Iowa (September 28, 2012) -
Kate Mikutowski (Sr, Stillwater, Minn) tallied 30 kills over two matches and
Morgan Denny (So, Luck) racked up 22 kills as UW-Stout swept a pair of matches over Loras College, 3-1, and the University of Dubuque, 3-0. Friday.
Mikutowski rolled off 16 kills in a 25-21, 25-23, 25-27, 25-9, win over Loras and Denny finished with 13 kills. Denny also had three solo blocks and four block assists.
Megan Shanahan (Sr, Norwood-Young America, Minn) recorded 22 digs.
In the clean sweep over Dubuque, Mikutowski recorded 14 kills and Denny contributed nine kills. Both players had three service aces. The Blue Devils (10-8) took a 25-18, 25-21, 25-9 win.
Karley Wiensch (So, Chippewa Falls) had 39 assists against Loras and 28 against Dubuque.
Stout will be at UW-Stevens Point, Saturday, Oct. 6.
