UW Stout Soccer loses to Luther College in overtime

ST. JOSEPH, Minn (September 2, 2012) - The UW Stout soccer team lost 2-1 in an Overtime game against Luther College.

Luther college took an early lead as they scored at the 15 minute mark. Stout was quick to return as Emily Stanke booted in a laser about 15 minutes later to tie the game 1-1. The remainder of regulation there was no scoring. At the 95 minute mark, Luther's Kate Manning scored the game winning goal.

Paige Meyer had an impressive nine saved goals on the day in the first start of her collegiate career, but it was not enough as Luther College won 2-1 in OT.

Stout will be at Viterbo University, Friday, Sept. 7, then return home to host St. Benedict, Sunday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.
