EAU CLAIRE (September 19, 2012) -
Morgan Denny (So, Luck) hit at a .417 clip with 10 kills, but it wouldn't be enough as UW-Stout lost their conference opener, 3-0, at UW-Eau Claire Wednesday.
Denny committed only two errors in 17 attacks and one block assist as Stout took a 25-16, 25-21, 25-17 loss.
The Blugolds' Anne Satterlee led all players with 13 kills and Amy Bomgren had 11.
Stout will stay in conference play this weekend when they host UW-Platteville, Friday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Blue Devils' home opener, then will entertain UW-La Crosse, Saturday, Sept. 22 at noon for Family Day.
