MENOMONIE (September 15, 2012) - UW-Stout scored first, but UW-La Crosse scored second and the two teams played to a 1-1 tie Saturday at River Heights Field in a WIAC contest.
Emily Stanke (Sr, Elk Grove Village, Ill) took a pass from
Kayla Seivert (Jr, Farmington, Minn) in the 22nd minute of the contest.
The two teams traded soft shots throughout the game, with the Eagles (2-3-1, 0-0-1 WIAC) Sagan Pizzingrilli recording 12 saves to UW-Stout's (2-3-1, 0-1-1 WIAC)
Robbie Shelby (So, La Crosse), who had nine saves.
The Eagles got what would prove to be the equalizer early in the second half when Jamie Ochsenwald scored unassisted in the 49th minute.
Stout outshot the Eagles, 15-12, throughout the warm afternoon.
Stout is scheduled to host Bethel University, Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m., and UW-Superior, Saturday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.
