UW-Eau Claire Labor Day Invitational
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (September 1, 2012) - The UW Stout volleyball team came out of the UW-Eau Claire Labor Day Classic looking for their first wins of the season Saturday.
After dropping both matches on the first day of the tournament, the Blue Devils lost 3-1 to St. Catherine (22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-18, then lost, 3-0, to Concordia-Moorhead (25-22, 25-18, 27-25).

Morgan Denny each had eight kills in the first contest and
Kate Mikutowski had eight in the second.
UW Stout takes Stevens Point into 4 sets, while St. Benedict beat Stout in 3 sets.
UW Stout opened their 2012 volleyball season on Friday, at the Eau Claire Labor Day Classic. The Blue Devils first game was against UW Stevens Point. The Blue Devils fought hard in the first two sets, losing both 25-21, and 25-20. While bouncing back and winning the third set 25-20. It wasnt enough for the Blue Devils, losing the 4th set 20-25.
The Second game for the Devils was against St. Benedict. Stout was not on top of their game the first two sets losing them both, 25-11, and 25-12. In the third set the Devils made a big step pushing St. Benedict into extra points. Stout fell short (27-25) losing in three straight sets.
Stout will be at Augsburg College, Tuesday, Sept. 4, then will be at the Hamline Invitational, Sept. 7-8.
