Blue Devil volleyball drops both contests on first day of season

EAU CLAIRE (August 31, 2012) - Despite a good day at the net for senior Kate Mikutowski (Sr, Stillwater, Minn),  the UW-Stout volleyball team dropped both games in their season opener at the UW-Eau Claire Fall Invitational.

The Blue Devils fell 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 20-25, 25-20) to UW-Stevens Point in the opener, then were stopped by St. Benedict 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 27-25) in the second contest of the day.

Mikutowski had 17 kills against Stevens Point and seven against St. Benedict.
