Volleyball drops decision at Platteville

PLATTEVILLE (September 23, 2011) - UW-Stout started out strong in the first set, taking UW-Platteville to extra points, but the Pioneers held off the Blue Devils to take a 3-0 decision Friday.

The Pioneers (9-5, 1-1 WIAC) defeated Stout (3-10, 0-2), 26-24, 25-20, 25-13 at Williams Fieldhouse.

Stout got eight kills apiece from Sara Kjos (Sr, Hamburg, Minn) and Tori Sandstrom (Jr, Cary, Ill). Emily Kaiser scored 12 kills, while LeeAnn Mizgalski had 10 kills to lead all scorers.

Stout will be at UW-La Crosse, Saturday, Sept. 24.
