MENOMONIE (October 28, 2011) - After UW-Oshkosh was on the ropes early in the fourth set, the Titans untied themselves, won the set and went on to hand UW-Stout a 3-1 loss Friday at Johnson Fieldhouse.

The Blue Devils (5-22, 1-6) battled back from an opening 25-20 set loss to take a hard-fought 27-25 second set win. Oshkosh (18-16, 4-3) rolled over the Blue Devils, 25-15, in the third set.

But it looked like Stout would be able to pull even and send the match into a fifth set as the Blue Devils led by as much as 20-13 at one point. But the Titans chipped away, tied the match at 23 all, and finally prevailed, 28-26, for the set and the match.

The Titans' Jordyn Bratel led all players with 18 kills, while teammate Morgan Nick added 11.

Kate Mikutowski (Jr, Stillwater, Minn) led the Blue Devils with 13 kills, while Emily Crew (Fr, Maplewood, Minn) added 12 and Morgan Denny (Fr, Luck) chipped in 11.

Stout will host 21st ranked UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Oct. 29 at noon.
