MENOMONIE (October 22, 2011) - Over the course of the last nine regular season games, UW-Stout and UW-Oshkosh have either tied or Oshkosh has won by one goal. The tide turned for the Blue Devils Saturday as Stout picked up a 1-0 home win over the Titans.

Emily Stanke (Jr, Elk Grove Village, Ill) scored in the 19th minute for the Blue Devils (11-1-1, 5-1-0) and Stout made the goal stand up the rest of the way.

Courtney Tideman (Sr, Sartell, Minn) got the assist on the goal when her shot, taken from a corner kick, rebounded back to Stanke and Stanke buried the shot.

The Blue Devil defense pitched their fourth consecutive shutout, and Robbie Shelby (Fr, La Crosse) made two saves and notched her seventh save of the season. The Titans' Brittany Walder recorded four saves.

The win snapped a 16 game unbeaten streak by Oshkosh (10-6-1, 4-3-0) over Stout. Stout's last win over the Titans came on Oct. 9, 1999.

Stout will host the University of St. Thomas, Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
