UW-River Falls 3, UW-Stout 1MENOMONIE (October 12, 2011) - After taking the opening set, UW-Stout dropped the next three sets and fell to UW-River Falls, Wednesday at Karges Center.
The Blue Devils took the opening set, 25-21, but came up short in the final three, 25-14, 25-16, 25-13.
The Falcon's (10-12, 2-3) Debbie Gibbemeyer led all players with 13 kills, while Jean Thies added 10.
Emily Crew led Stout with seven kills, while
Kate Mikutowski and
Morgan Denny each added six for Stout (3-16, 0-5).
Stout will host their own tournament this weekend, Oct. 14-15. Action begins at 4 pm Friday and 10 am Saturday.
