WINONA, Minn (September 4, 2010) - Playing without leading hitter
Kate Mikutowski (So, Stillwater, Minn), UW-Stout dropped the final two matches in the season-opening St. Mary's University Sugar Loaf Classic Saturday.
The Blue Devils (0-4) were knocked off by host St. Mary's, 3-0, in the day's opener as
Sara Kjos (Jr, Hamburg, Minn) led Stout with eight kills.
Hope Weilage (So, Marshall, Minn) had six kills.
In the second game of the day, Stout fell to Augsburg College, 3-0, with
Steph Nichols (Sr, Greendale) leading the way for Stout with eight kills.
The Blue Devils will host St. Catherine, Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. in their home opener. The match will be available in a live video stream with Sara Berans on the play-by-play.
