WINONA, Minn. (September 3, 2010) - UW-Stout opened their 2010 season with a pair of 3-1 losses at the Sugar Loaf Classic hosted by St. Mary's University Friday.
Steph Nichols (Sr, Greendale) had 12 kills in the tournament opening loss to Loras College.
Mallory White opened her collegiate career with 30 assists in the contest. Loras took the contest 25-13, 25-27, 25-20, 25-21.
Freshman
Josie Dockstader had 11 kills to lead the Blue Devils against Wartburg College. Nichols finished the match with eight kills.Wartburg won the match 25-13, 25-18, 22-25, 25-11.
Stout will face host St. Mary's University and Augsburg College Saturday, Sept. 4
