UW-Eau Claire 4, UW-Stout 1
EAU CLAIRE (September 29, 2010) - UW-Stout cut the lead in half in the first half, but UW-Eau Claire added two goals in the second half and downed the Blue Devils, 4-1, Wednesday.
The Blugolds (7-2, 3-0) scored two goals in the first 37 minutes, but Stout (4-5, 0-2) came back when
Becky Glass (So, Eagan, Minn) scored just before the half, with an assist from
Jenna Schlueter (So, Littleton, Colo).
Eau Claire took a two goal lead in the 57th minute on a goal by Paige LeGate, then added another goal in the 77th minute.
Whitney Fenne (Fr, Columbus, Minn) and
Amanda Matti (Fr, Shoreview, Minn) each had five saves for the Blue Devils. Amanda Hakala had three saves for the Blugolds.
Stout will be at UW-Stevens Point, Saturday, Oct. 2.
